In October my husband Andy and I bought an 84 year old home in Beaverdale (Des Moines). I saw the potential immediately and we were excited to prove to our friends and family our vision. We are still working on it room by room, but here is a glimpse...
Bedroom: BEFORE

We never quite figured it out, but we think it was sponge paint over wallpaper.

Even primer helped brighten up the room!
Picked the color!!
Ta Da! Ready to move in!

We plan on re-finishing the floors someday.

We painted the trim, ceilings, and walls.
Put up curtains and bought two bed stands at a garage sale for 10 bucks and painted them!
A little bit can get your so far!
I LOVE PAINT! - Mimi
Amazing what a little paint will do. Be careful or the old owners may want the house back! Great job!!
