Custom Order HANDMADE Guest Books

Every detail at a wedding is a precious thought out memory and I'm so thankful to be a part of
making two upcoming wedding even more special, down to the handmade details.

Through my Art Etsy someone requested that I make a handmade stab binding book for their guest book. Her colors are yellow and orange and I can't wait to see photos of that brightly flavored wedding.

Another wedding is the wedding of my dear friend Bethany. She is getting married next month on the beach in Oregon. Her wedding colors are peacock inspired! Her bridesmaids are all wearing self picked dresses from the cool colors of that funky bird. It will be an intimate ceremony with only 30 guests and because she wants to celebrate with the rest of her friends and family across the U.S. she is having a reception in Portland and in Minnesota later this fall. The blue guest book is a smaller book that will be used at her wedding and the black and white Magnolia print book will be used at both receptions.

Check out my art etsy www.mimisolum.etsy.com or email me at mimibirddesigns@yahoo.com if youre interested in your own custom handmade book.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Refurbished!

I am so impressed with the furniture my dad refurbishes.... Here is an old organ he turned into a fabulous piece!

I hadn't seen this until the other day when I went into Riffraff on the Square in Fayetteville and my Mom pointed it out to me! Go Dad!

I will try to get some before and after photos of these creations ~ he just works so quickly!

I've been reupholstering chair covers and such these last couple days so I'll share future chairs with you too. He is bringing more furniture over to Riffraff tomorrow so check it out!

Pour Jons - In Siloam Springs

This new little coffee shop is a great addition to downtown Silaom. Its been designed so well outside and in, with brick walls exposed, dim lighting, fabulous light fixtures and coffee and drinks to die for.

I've been twice since I've been in town and first time I ordered a vanilla bean shake made with homemade ice cream and it was only $3.50. Second time I went with my Mom and my Aunt Karen and I ordered an Iced Chai Latte, also very yummy and reasonable.

Check out their website but definitely check them out downtown:

Dogwood Festival!

The Siloam Springs Dogwood Festival has always had a special place in my heart. Growing up a "craft show kid" I always loved doing a show in my hometown. There were certain things we would do every year; buy a couple bags of kettle corn, homemade root beer, funnel cakes. Okay, so most of the memories had to do with food, but once I got older I started buying leather bracelets with names "hammered" into them which is still a tradition I look forward to.

This year was a little strange. Spars, slow and a little more "hick" than I remember but it was a beautiful day and I enjoyed spending time outside with my Mom.

We had the leather man make us our annual bracelets. One for my Mom who wants to be called "Gigi" now that she is a Grandma, one for me, "Auntie Em" :), one for my sister who just became a "Mommy" and one for her baby "Nolie" who wont be able to actually wear it for a while now, but its still a sweet memory.

Its still open today Siloam so head on down, the leather man is worth it ;)

xoxo, Mimi
